We are continually searching out new plants, through trade catalogues and by travelling extensively abroad, meeting plant producers and visiting nurseries discovering what plants are available now and what will become available in the coming years. We show here a few examples of new varieties and new ideas for the coming year from plant breeders around the world. With so many new plants becoming available each year, particlarly those from cuttings, it's difficult to know which to leave out! We have chosen a few here, which are new to us for the year 2000 Viola Magnifico, introduced by Colegrave Ltd. - a unique raised viola with 4cm diameter flowers of lavender white and a blue Picotee edge. This product will be highly promoted in the year 2000 PAC® Mexica Gold & Mexica Purple, introduced by Colegrave Ltd. - these ivy leaf geraniums are from the Beau Jangles series and will complement the well known old fashioned Mexicana Vancouver Centennial & Frank Headly- represent two varieties of old fashioned varegated leafed pelargoniums, which will now come from clean stock and are part of the PACE® Pelgardini series, of which we will be offering several varieties. Surfina Sky Blue - a new colour to the Surfina range which is truly unique. Verbena Splash - Introduced by Hamer an upright Verbena with a unique white break in the flower. Won a new products award at the Four Oaks Trade Show 1999. Abutilon Bella, introduced by Royal Sluis UK in 1999 this dwarf Abutilon has a large number of applications on the patio, as a houseplant or in the conservatory. Gaura Siskiyou pink - A more compact form of Gaura, with a rounded, bushy habit suitable for patio and garden Nemesia Ravello, revello is a neat bushy plant with dark blue, scented flowers. Useful for basket and pot production. Designer series of zonal Geraniums, a robust cutting raised series with excellent garden performance, producing large heads of fantastic colour.
